About this route
Mount Trashmore is a reclaimed landfill turned city park, and its two grass-covered hills give oceanfront-flat runners somewhere to practice climbing. The paved perimeter loop circles two lakes with clear sightlines, restrooms, and playgrounds.
It is a dependable weekday option: well lit sightlines, easy parking, and short enough that families and interval runners share it comfortably.
Why this difficulty rating: Paved and short; the hills are optional add-ons.
